An essential part of any first aid or emergency kit, the Z-Medica 25g QuikClot Advanced clotting sponge helps stop moderate to severe bleeding until further medical help is available.

  • QuikClot is a chemically inert material in a mesh bag that speeds coagulation of blood, resulting in a stable clot that stops bleeding
  • Zeolite clotting beads (made of kaolin) are contained in a sterile, non-adherent mesh bag for easy application and removal
  • QuickClot is safe to use and features a low-heat formula that won't burn skin
  • Package contains a 3.5 x 3.5 in. (25g) bag of QuikClot for coverage of medium wounds

I added this to the weekender first aid kit for peace of mind in case of a bleeding incident far from help.

A new product that sounded like a "must" for any serious first aid kit.  Thanks for bringing this product to my attention.

Yes, I would recommend this to a friend March 2, 2011

This is the commercial product of something we all carried in Afghanistan. It is just what you want when you or your buddy is bleeding. Used with direct pressure, and this is a very good deal. Remember to treat for shock in any case.

Buy it already March 2, 2011

I carry all three flavors (25g, 50g, and 100g) in my "First Aid Kit" (which is just a mini version of my medic bag). I also carry an Israeli bandage as well. Slightly bulky, but so many uses.
